My dear Mary, I am so very sorry for your loss. My mother and father were lifelong friends of you both and loved you dearly. I have never met two kinder and loving people. Our family has very close ties to the Hunsuckers. May you find comfort in God's promises and the love of family and friends. Again, my heart grieves for your loss. Love, Daphne Killian Harbinson

Mary, Johnny, Mary Ann, Ellen and Chris - this is one message that is hard for me to write. Big John was so very special...always kind, thoughtful and giving. I have very dear childhood memories of the times when cards were played and stories were told. I know the loss of Big John will be felt by so very many people as he touched the lives of so many during his lifetime. I still remember talking with him at Harris Teeter when he would "run in" to pick up something, only to find out after standing for 10 minutes or so that Mary was waiting in the car. His smile and laugh would brighten a dull day! He was truly a family man and was so very proud of his family...you were his life - his pride and joy! May God grant you his special peace and hold you in his loving arms to give you strength during this very hard time in your lives. Blessings to you.
