Kathy Bush TAYLORSVILLE Kathy Lynn Bush, 55, of Taylorsville, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011, at her residence. She was born Nov. 22, 1955, in Caldwell County to the late Hal Jerome and Lucille Faries Bush. Kathy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitnel. She was a long-time supporter of animal rights and generously donated time and efforts to support humane treatment of animals. She was a graduate of Caldwell Community College and the Carolina School of Broadcasting in Charlotte. She worked as a radio dispatcher for the City of Lenoir Police Department, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department and in the local radio community. Survivors include her husband, James Thomas Walton, of the home; one sister, Sherry Willard, and her husband, Eugene, of Morganton; two nephews, Jonathan Willard, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Timothy Willard and his wife, Jennifer, of Holly Springs; two great-nephews, Chase Willard, of Holly Springs, and Brayden Titus, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a great niece, Caroline Willard, of Holly Springs; an aunt, Helen Johnson, of Lenoir; one stepson, Josh Walton, and his wife, Nikki, of Newton; a number of cousins, and her four, much loved, dogs, Blue, Moon, Jack and Bela. A graveside service for Kathy will be held Tuesday, May 3, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Whitnel with the Rev. Bruce Walker officiating.
