It is with great sorrow that the family of Kenneth Lane Moser announces his passing on October 20, 2024. Ken died unexpectedly. Ken was born on Sunday, February 27, 1944, to the late Henry Lane Moser and Eddie Mae Moser.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sons, Kenneth Lane Moser, Jr and Derrick Chad Moser; brother, Henry Arlyn Moser; and stepson, Jay Fox.

Those left to cherish Ken's memory is his longtime partner and wife, Joanne Moser; son, Todd Moser (Shelley); granddaughters, Avery Maddox (Jess) and Jordan Moser; brothers, Joel Moser (Pam), Charlie Moser (Peggy); nieces, Joey Moser and Kelly Moser – Wedell (Rick); nephew, David Moser; stepson, Jamie Fox; and stepgranddaughters, Stacey Eckard (Thomas), Shelby Cope; and his beloved yorkie, Lulu.

Ken graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1962, where he was the Senior Class President, voted Best Looking and Best All Around and then attended Western Carolina University, where he graduated with a political science and history degree in 1966. He was a loyal member of his beloved TKE fraternity, where he loved his brothers dearly. He went on to become a schoolteacher in Catawba County and Iredell County for several years. Afterwards, he moved into the food service industry, working for Mom n Pops as a buyer for their restaurants. He then moved to Western Steer/Sagebrush, where he held many positions, retiring as the Vice President of Franchising and Operations. Ken then decided to go into restaurant ownership and spent several years as the owner of Bennett's Smokehouse and Saloon. He decided to end his working life at the Viewmont ABC store where things began to slow down, and he could start enjoying retirement. Ken was a kind, loving, caring, and altogether a great man. He was always viewed as one of the greatest.
