Dear Jerry and Jim,
When we did not receive the anuual Meitin Christams letter with a picture of the family I knew something must be wrong. I have just found out that the beautiful, sweet and kind Lisa has passed away and am so deeply saddened.
We were next door neigbors to Lisa and Jim in Martinez from about 1993-1996 and also Jerry after he and Lisa were married.
I cannot say enough about this special woman. She was a good neighbor, a good listener and always an encourager. My family had not had direct contact with her in many years but always enjoyed getting the annual Christmas letter and seeing how much Jim had grown. Jerry, I am so happy you and Lisa had the years you did as a married couple, but I know your heart must be broken. I had thought of Lisa often and was hoping she would get better, I am so sorry she had to struggle with cancer for as long as she did. From the posts I have read she handled it with grace and dignity which does not surprise me at all, she was that kind of person.
Please know that Rob,Christian and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers and hope the best for you both as you deal with the loss of your wife and Mother.

I met Lisa in 1984 when I worked at Banker's First. I only knew her a year, but have corresponded with her every Christmas since. I have so many fond and funny memories of my short time with her. She was a joy. I was so saddened to hear of her illness but know she is at peace. My deepest condolences to her husband and her family. I saw where another Banker's First alumni left a message, and I wanted to say "Hi" to Tracy and I hope you are doing well.

Jenine and I are sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. I worked with Lisa at Bankers First in the audit department. She always had a joyful attitude even when the work was challenging, and she encouraged others often. She was also very professional and sought to do high quality work. May she now have complete healing in the arms of Christ.

Lisa brought joy and happiness wherever she went-- always keen to embrace, comfort, and ready to lighten up the laughter, even after her burden started to bear down. A steadfast lady who exhibited grace, I will always remember her as having a smile, holding tightly to Jerry's arm, and being a thoroughly caring person in all that she did.

What can be said of this amazing woman that has not already been expressed by her myriad friends? She was kind and gentle and quick to laugh. She was a marvelous friend and the spark in Jerry's eyes.I close my eyes and see her across the table at Supper Club; I see Jerry teaching her to snorkel; I see her teaching him to ballroom dance, and I see faithful Edgar by her side. The past days made for a gloomy, rainy week, but the day Lisa finally went home, the sun was as bright as could be. I will miss you, my friend.

What a wonderful lady and friend. I would write her and tell her often that she was my hero. No matter what life gave her, Lisa was always strong and faithful and true. I miss her very much already. My prayer for Jerry and Jim and all of her family and friends is that you/we will embrace the promise, love, and comfort of Jesus looking forward to the day when we will all be in His presence together. I Thessalonians 4:13-18.
