Lorene Cline HICKORY Lorene Robinson Cline, 78, of Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born August 7, 1932 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late George Spurgeon Robinson and Bessie Yount Robinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lee Cline, Sr.; brother, Ernest Robinson and a sister, Louella R. Williams. Mrs. Cline was a member of First Baptist Church in Hildebran and had retired from Drexel Heritage. She is survived by three sons: Cecil Cline, Jr. and wife Tressa, Jimmy Cline and wife Cathy, Larry Cline and fianc‚e Tammy Pendleton all of Hickory; sister, Betty R. Pardue of Smyrna, TN; six granddaughters: Heather Cline, Mandy Downs Wilfong, Laura Cline, Allyson Cline, Sarah Cline, Leeann Cline and fianc‚ Jeremy Burris; great-grandsons: Tyler and Jacob Wilfong. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Hildebran with the Rev. Ronald Arndt officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. at the church.
