Martin Bollinger Obituary

Martin Bollinger VALDESE Mr. Martin Edward "Marty" Bollinger, 46, of Valdese, died on Sunday June 5, 2011 at Valdese General Hospital after a period of declining health. Mr. Bollinger was born on Aug. 27, 1964 in Panama City, Fla., a son of Steve and Linda Benfield Bollinger of Valdese. He was a former employee of Paramount Ford in the sales and parts department and the owner and Operator of B & D Salvage Yard. Martys passion was working with Mopar automobiles. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Beth Appleba Bollinger of the home, a daughter, Morgan Bollinger and a son Bridger Bollinger both of the home. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Virginia Benfield of Drexel, his father and mother-in-law, Rev. Thomas and Betty Appleba of Walnutport, Pa., sister-in-law, Cheryl Bell and husband Rev. Anthony Bell of Elizabethton, Tenn., brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Appleba and wife Charla of Johnson City, Tenn., and Bryan Appleba and wife Tracy of Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Funeral services for Martin E. "Marty" Bollinger will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service of Valdese with Rev. Thomas Appleba and Rev. Anthony Bell officiating. Interment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Heritage Funeral Service of Valdese. I am so very sorry to hear of Marty`s passing we were childhood friends and attended school together my thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. I am so sorry to hear about Marty's passing! My prayers and thoughts are with the family. I have known Marty for some time and he was a good hearted person. Also my family have known his wife and family now for many years. Since the lilte white church in Valdese were pastor Appleba was the pastor. Marty will be missed!
