Mathilda Krieger Obituary

GRANITE FALLS - Mathilda A. Krieger, 83, of Grouse Lane, Granite Falls, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Newark, N.J., to the late Aloysius Krieger and Anita Godfrey. Survivors include a son, George Wenzel of the home; a daughter-in-law, Ruthann Egan of Granite Falls; four sisters, Claudia Miller of Flokston, Ga., Constance Rolf of Jacksonville, Fla., Pauline Gazda of Mount Clemens, Mich., and Jeanette Shields of Middleburg, Fla.; and two brothers, Aloysius Kreiger Jr. of Kings Mountain and Tom Cataldo of Florham Park, N.J. The family will receive friends during open hours at the home on 5016 Grouse Lane, Granite Falls. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605-4277 or to a charity of one's choice. Bass-Smith Granite Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
