Richard "Snuffy" Allen Kanupp, 58, of Conover, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
He was born February 26, 1966, in Catawba County to the late Richard Lee and Sudie Jane Houston Kanupp. Snuffy was employed with Aiken-Black Tire Services in Hickory. He enjoyed making hammers, working on and fixing Go-Karts and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Those left to cherish his memory are daughters, Chelsey Kanupp, of Granite Falls, Kelsey Santizo, of Wilkesboro, Jessica Lowrey, of Woodhaven, MI; brothers, Marcus Kanupp, of Hickory, Phillip Kanupp and wife, Debra, of Conover; grandchildren, Donoven, Anderson, Vada, Oliver, Alison, Bella, Alexa, Yeslek and Rubi; nieces, Madison Kanupp, Casey Rogers (Blake), and Deanna Foster (Ryan).
A service to celebrate Snuffy's life will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Pastor Rick Bowman will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Bennett Funeral Service.
