Richard, we spent our entire childhoods all the way up through highschool growing up together. It was always a pleasure to see you. I will miss running into you at the gas station. I will miss that infectious grant. Rest in Heaven, my dear friend.

To Richard Parker's family and friends, the Hickory community, and the Hickory Public School district we ask that you please accept our heartfelt condolences. Richard has been nothing but a friendly, positive, encouraging, and inspirational gentle soul since I've known him from when he was a little boy. He was, no doubt, gifted with the spirit of helps and being a servant leader to this community. To know him was to love him. Although we miss him, we thank God for the opportunity to have had his presence touch our lives and will always remember his infectious, heart warming smile and big hugs. May he be at rest in Divine Peace. God's Will is perfect and we trust he knew the Lord as he shared his faith with us. Blessings of comfort to all, we pray... Derrick and Ittiely Carson
