Steven Sipe Obituary
Steven Woodrow Sipe, 78, of Conover, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022.
Steven was born in Catawba County, to the late Glenn Woodrow Sipe and Minnie Boggs Sipe; and stepmother, Constance Sipe.
He was a Vietnam Army veteran, masonry contractor, private pilot, avid hunter and outdoorsman, loving husband, father and born again Christian! In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Sipe and G. Wayne Sipe; and nephew, Brian Sipe.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Beverly Sipe; son, Jeffery (Kimberly) Sipe; daughters, Karen (Rusty) Eckard, Hollie (G.Cliff) Baker and Julie (John) Simpson; brother, Randy (Annette) Sipe; 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Gabriel, Grace, Jesse, Bonnie, Ashley, Jacob, Sierra, Roxy, Greyson, Eli and Lindsay; and 11 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Saylah, Kensley, Harlow, Tucker, Elovee, August, Ryder, Jensen, Penelope, and one on the way.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Friday, June 24, at New Life Authentic Christian Community in Conover, prior to the service. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 24, at New Life Authentic Christian Community with Pastor Chris Gruver officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
