Thedd Hilton HICKORY Thedd Wayne Hilton, 71, of Hickory, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born Aug. 27, 1940 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Thad Hilton and Fannie Speagle Hilton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Hilton. He was a member of Hillside Baptist Church, was retired from Joan Fabrics and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Hilton is survived by his wife, Geneva Hart Hilton of the home; daughter, Valesia Hilton Riley and her husband, Duane Scott Riley of Hickory; grandchildren, Matthew Wayne Riley and Haleigh Madison Riley, both of Hickory; sisters, Grace West of S.C., Jannie Mathis and Judy Crump, both of Hickory, Polly Hilton of Tenn.; brothers, Tony Hilton, Tim Hilton and George Hilton, all of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Hillside Baptist Church with the Rev. David Crump officiating. Burial will follow in the Hart Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the church. Mr. Hilton's nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 S.
