December 23, 1939 - February 12, 2023
Wayne Savacool, 83, of Newton, owner of Barter Antiques, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, at his residence.
He was born in Newton, N.J., Dec. 23, 1939, to the late Clinton Pete Savacool and Leona Skellenger Savacool. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Savacool; and his loving dog, Jasper.
He is survived by his son, Randy and wife, Debby; daughters, Lori Coulbourn and husband, Steven, and Lisa Gabriel; brothers, Frank and wife, Eileen, Roland and wife, June; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Receiving of friends will be held at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home, Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 1 to 2 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Don Sigmon officiating.
Memorials can be made to the Catawba County Humane Society in Hickory.
