Larry Wayne Calvert

Larry Wayne Calvert, 70, of New Ross, formerly of Twentynine Palms, California, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana.
Larry was born Oct. 31, 1954, in Hammond, Indiana, to the late Albert G. Calvert and Joy (Easter) Calvert.
Larry spent more than 60 years in Twentynine Palms. He was a diesel mechanic and worked on the wind turbines as an operator. He was a big jokester. Any time you would see Larry, he would have a can of Mountain Dew.
Larry was a loving dad and grandpa. He would always make sure his family was OK before thinking of himself. His favorite TV show was "NCIS," rarely missing an episode.
Larry is survived by his children, Kelly J. Short (Danney Lowery), Michelle L. Nally (Ben McCormick) and Larry W. Calvert Jr.; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Kruse, Michael Kruse, Nicholas Short, Christopher Short, Joshua M Bailey (Courtney), Preston Nally, Everleigh McQueen and Jocelyn Lowery; and three great-grandchildren, Bella Kruse, Freyalynn M. Bailey and Kenley Lowery.
He is also survived by his siblings, Steven Calvert (Nhien Hong), Syndi Calvert and Michael Calvert (Stacye).
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bryan Calvert.
According to Larry's wishes, there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
