1979 - 2012

GRACE - Jon David Haslam, 32, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at his home in Grace, Idaho. He was born Aug. 17, 1979, in Logan, Utah, to Carl Dean and Kathleen Perry Haslam. He married Buffie Jo Godderidge on Oct. 11, 2003, in the Logan LDS Temple.
He attended Thatcher Elementary and graduated from Grace High School. He served an LDS mission to the Louisville, Kentucky mission. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and served in various callings including in the elder's quorum presidency and as a home teacher.
Jon loved trucks and was a truck driver for Paul Jones Trucking. One of the great moments in his life was when he met and married his soulmate and best friend, Buffie Jo. Another high light is his son, Mac, his little man and all-around little buddy who loves his dad.
He is survived by his wife and son, Buffie and Macaden of Grace, Idaho; brother, Brian (Jerilyn) Haslam of Hyrum, Utah; sister, Tamara (Juan) Martinez of Ogden, Utah; parents, Carl and Kathy Haslam of Cleveland, Idaho; grandparents, Joyce (Glen) Perry of Idaho Falls, Idaho; parents-in-law, Joe and Connie Godderidge of Trenton, Utah; brother-in-law, Jody (Debbie) Godderidge of Smithfield, Utah; sister-in-law, Angie (Christian) Lee of Rock Springs, Wyo.; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Myrna Haslam; grandpa, LeRoy Perry; and uncle, Craig Perry.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, March 10, 2012, in the Grace Stake Center in Grace, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the stake center, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday also at the stake center. Interment will be in the Grace Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston.
