Barry Bos

Barry Bos, age 66, of Holland, Michigan died on October 11, 2015 at Medilodge of Holland.
A private memorial service will be held by Barry's family.
Barry was born in Zeeland on March 26, 1949 and grew up in Holland and later Beaverdam, where he attended a one room school until junior high. He graduated from Zeeland High School in 1968. Barry's love for art led him to attend Kendall School of Art and Design in Grand Rapids while working for Herman Miller at night. Barry lived in Hawaii, California, Florida and New York before settling in Holland to be near family. His generosity and support of charities and needy individuals was widely known and appreciated. Barry lived life on his own terms in constant pursuit of his dream to be recognized as an artist and illustrator.
Barry is survived by his sister, Bette Morris of Kalamazoo; and brothers, Dave Bos of Borculo, and Bruce Bos of Silver City, New Mexico. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Rose Bos of Beaverdam; sister, Barbara Lamer of Holland; and brother, Jeffery Bos of Holland.
Barry's family would like to express their gratitude to Sarah Kendziorski and the staff of Allegan County Community Mental Health ACT team for their outstanding care and service to Barry. Gratitude is also expressed to a special care giver Vince Modert and the staff at Medilodge of Holland for the kind care and support of Barry during his illness.
