Lois DeMots Obituary
In 1969, she married William DeMots. She was a graduate of Calvin College, had her Master's degree from Eastern Michigan University, and taught in the art department for 30 years at Siena Heights University. She also tutored at the Adrian Rea Literacy Center. She was on the board of the Adrian Symphony Orchestra for over 20 years, and was instrumental in building the garden and labyrinth at Weber Center. She and her family lived in and restored the Raymond House and gardens in Adrian's Historic District.
She was an extraordinarily loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, an intrepid traveler, and an accomplished artist and gardener.
Lois and William had four children, Alexander, Kelly, Anthony, and Anita, as well as three grandchildren, Madeline, Dhillon, and Simon.
She deeply felt the love of God through all her life, and lived to pass that love and kindness on to all she knew. May she be in peace with God.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be private at the First United Methodist Church memorial gardens. Visitation will take place at Wagley Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. In memory of Lois, flowers are welcome as well as contributions to the Adrian Symphony Orchestra or the Adrian Rea Literacy Center.

Lois was an instructor when I attended Siena Heights College. Drawing. I was endeared to her warmth, compassion, gentle nature and drawing skill. She was an instructor who not only taught class, but changed lives. God Bless You in your time of grieving. Know the impact she had on many lives.
