Shelly Marsh Obituary

Shelly Ann (Vogan) Marsh, 59, passed away early Friday morning, January 25, 2019, at her home under the care of Hospice of Holland with her family at her side. She has now passed from this earth and entered her eternal home, where she will be in the presence of Jesus forever. She is now beholding His glory and singing praises before Him.
Shelly was born November 6, 1959, in Dover, Delaware. She and her husband Bill celebrated 35 years of marriage this past October. They were blessed with four beautiful children, and this past summer welcomed two more children into their loving arms through marriage.
Shelly is survived by her husband Bill Marsh, children Nathan Marsh, Andrew and Brittany (Kaminsky) Marsh, Hannah and Kevin Slagh, Mary Marsh, her mother Diana (Rouhana) Vogan, siblings Mark and Amy Vogan, Jim and Alicia Vogan, Tim and Laura Marsh, David and Christi Marsh, and Maria (Marsh) and Jason Kober, and many nieces and nephews. In the past two years, God brought a very special family and relationship into her and Bill's life, which helped to fulfill Shelly's desire to be a grandmother. In death, Shelly was preceded by her father, Jerry Vogan. Shelly's goals in life were to be a wonderful wife, mother, and follower of Jesus. In this she succeeded, and she surpassed. Everywhere she went, Shelly radiated the light of Christ, surrounding those around her with positivity and love. Shelly found joy in playing long nights of Monopoly with her family, engaging in water fights with whoever happened to be at their home, and most importantly living with and sharing the power and love of Jesus. She loved snowmen-of all shapes and sizes-which was evident throughout her home during the Christmas season. She loved getting lost in a book and was passionate about nature, especially birds. Her sidekick puppy Josie brought much joy to her as well. She did not give up on her fight with cancer. She fought to the very end-until God was ready for her to join Him. She leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by those who love her, until those who believe in Him are reunited with her. She is now using her beautiful voice to worship the Lord and is free from pain for eternity. Shelly is a role model for how to live and how to leave our lives.
