I am sorry for your loss. I have many memories of Emory and every one of those memories is happy and full of laughter. It was great to know him and thank you for all of the help that Emory and Beverly have been to my parents all of these years.

From Leonard Poger:
I knew Emory from several perspectives. First, I was his successor as a community editor with the Observer Newspapers. From there, I was a co-worker, initially sharing a small office in Garden City. Over the years, I began to know knew him as a man who loved his family, his church and his profession. Through a stroke of luck in 1966 I was searching for a job opportunity the same week Emory was scheduled to "join" the Army. I was hired that week. Two years later, Emory returned to the Observer, serving as a community editor in several cities before becoming the internet editor.
I am sure he will be remembered by all who knew him.
