Lakeport - age 68, on Dec. 7th. Loving husband of Justine, dear father of Montana, Sylvie, and Cameron Z (Jenifer), grandfather of Ellie and Emmett, nephew of Shirley & brother of Jill (Bob).
Funeral Mass 12 Noon Tuesday at St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church - Lakeport, MI. Visitation Monday 3-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock St., Port Huron. Visiting also at church on Tuesday at 11 AM. Memorials to the church or its school. smith familyfuneralhome.com.

John and I became friends at the UoM from ca 1967 and some years there after. I had a band and he was, often times, with us. He was a kind being and a good soul. May god comfort you in knowing that John's battle with a painful health issue is over. He was a great neighbor and alway a cheerful person to be with.
I lost Beverly 5 years ago and have been fighting the same issue John had for the last 2 years.
I wish you the strength and peace as you carry on in the difficult days ahead.
