Benjamin Chabert Obituary
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation beginning at 9 a.m. until a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 4, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
Benjamin is survived by his mother, Sarah Elizabeth Stathes Chabert; brothers, Jacob C. Chabert and wife, Lila and baby Isabel, and Samuel "Sam" J. Chabert; grandparents, Herbert "Herb" Stathes and wife, Jane Thompson Stathes, and Barbara "Bobbi" Chabert; aunt and uncle, Adele Thompson and husband, Tim and their children, Tyler and wife, Kaitlynn, Todd and wife, Stephanie, Michael and fiancé, Lexie, Katherine "Kate", Eric and wife, Amanda Stathes and their children, Spiro, Sophia, and Lily, and Debra Griffin and husband, Ray and family; and life time care giver and family, Betty Williams.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his father, Godfrey "Pete" Pierre Chabert Jr.; and grandfather, Godfrey P. Chabert Sr.
Ben enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He was Junior at Terrebonne High School. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Chauvin Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

I was so saddened to hear of Ben's passing. Ben was such a polite young man and just a joy to be around. I will always have fond memories fishing with Ben and watching him fall in love with the ocean. Thoughts and prayers with all of the family. May God bless you and comfort you. Rest In Peace Pablo.

We are Tanners Grandparents and met Ben recently when he would come over to fish or hang out with Tanner. He made such an impression on us. He was so polite and friendly. We are so very sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I love you lil buddy. The best kid I've ever met in my life. He was by my side for 5 years catching blue marlin and killing deer.Some of my best memories are fishing and hunting with my lil brother Ben.The best Soul god ever created.He was loved by every person that ever came in contact with him.When we were traveling the world Ben was always by my side.And now he will be by my side every second of every day.
