Etta Ledet Obituary
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Church in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, I.S. Johnny Ledet; sons, John Ledet and friend, R.J. Duplantis, William "Billy" Ledet and wife, Shirlene, Thomas Ledet and wife, Sheila, and Michael Ledet and wife, Patsy; daughter, Patricia Rodrigue and husband, Craig; brothers, Julius Robichaux and wife, Maria, and Aaron Robichaux and wife, Nelly; sisters, Alberta Sexton, Aveline Theriot, Bertha Mae Pellegrin and husband, Steven, Norma Sevin and husband, Brent, and Anna Lee Cheramie and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Lee Ledet and wife, Kristi, Brennan Ledet, Lauren Ledet and fiance, Ross Adams, Lindsey Ledet and fiance, Matt LeBlanc, Celeste Ledet and fiance, Steven Metzger, Jacob Ledet, Reed Ledet, and Shelby Ledet; and great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Hannah, and Madison Ledet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norris and Agnolia Robichaux; and sister, Ena R. Luke and husband, Druis Luke.
Etta loved cooking and entered her recipes in the Courier's Bayou Gourmet Competitions winning several awards over the years.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
