Garyn Strong Obituary
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his parents, Thad Russel Strong and Maureen Boudreaux Strong; sister, Stephanie Lynne Morgan and husband, Wesley; brothers, Thad Strong II and wife, Laura, and John Leslie Strong; paternal grandparents, Joyce and Lloyd Learman; godparents, Toby Martin Sr. and Lola Richard; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rogers and Janice Boudreaux; paternal grandfather, Merton Strong; and brother, Quenten Strong.
Garyn enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing video games and hanging around with his cousins and friends. He loved sports and played tennis for South Lafourche in the ninth grade. He was also a 4-H member during ninth grade who raised chickens and rabbits for the fairs. He raised rabbits for four years as a small business. He was a Catholic and an organ donor.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
