What kind of man takes in two children and treated them as his own. Who loved and provided for them more than their own father! Who, before him, their mother had simply struggled to keep a roof over their heads. A man who each day lived offshore. Who would stay out on the gulf so others could spend time with there families during the holidays. A man that sacrificed everything for his family. A man who if you couldn't pay your first month's deposit up front, would work with you so your family wouldn't be on the streets. A man who loved his wife and children as one should be loved. I called him Gerald, the man who was my father in each and every way!

Brother-in-law you taught me what a true and loving relationship with a sibling looks like. I have never witnessed such a caring one. You loved my sister so much and I DO know that you worked in pain for years so you could provide for her and your family. You were a REAL man!
