James Puckett Jr. Obituary
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the service to start at 11 a.m. at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Puckett; daughter, Amy Puckett and companion, Bryce Vowan; sisters, Melva Close, Dannette Crappel, and Jetta Kyzar and husband, John; father-in-law, Francis Toups Sr.; his dog, Sassy Ann; and numerous nieces, nephews, and sisters and brothers-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Imogene Puckett; sister, Wendolyn Slayton; nephew, James Freeman; and mother-in-law, Loretta Toups.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to assist with the cost of services.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
