Laura LeCompte Obituary
Laura Lee Marie Pellegrin LeCompte, 85, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Rickey LeCompte and wife, Abby Gale, and Denny LeCompte and wife, Stephanie; daughter, Bonnie LeCompte Robichaux and husband, Richard; daughter-in-law, Maureen LeCompte; grandchildren, Ruby LeCompte, Robin Lapeyrouse, Tracy LeCompte, Monica Arceneaux, Darren Robichaux, Benjy Robichaux, Deke LeCompte, Jessie Lynn Miller, Daniel LeCompte, Brian LeCompte, Sam LeCompte and Meg LeCompte; great-grandchildren, Emma Lapeyrouse, Joseph Lapeyrouse, Jason Arceneaux, James Arceneaux, Rebecca Arceneaux, Kourtney Robichaux, Kyle Robichaux, Lilly Robichaux, Cade Robichaux, Nathan LeCompte, Xander LeCompte, Madeline LeCompte, Elizabeth LeCompte, Thomas LeCompte, John LeCompte, Henry LeCompte, Andrew Miller, Evan Miller and Adam Miller; great-great-grandchildren, Bella Luci Arceneaux, Charlie Nell Arceneaux and Kilyn Renee Lyons; step-great-grandchildren, Caitlin Thomas and Mirranda Murphy; and sister, Louella Pellegrin Bourg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Lecompte Sr.; parents, Eustice Pellegrin and Celestine Lapeyrouse Pellegrin; sons, Louis "Butch" LeCompte Jr. and Bobby LeCompte; brothers, Norman Pellegrin, Eddie Pellegrin and Aaron Pellegrin; and sisters, Lethia Bourg and Iona Pellegrin.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always did more for others than she did for herself. She extended her love and care to all that she met. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
The family would like to thank Haydel Memorial Hospice, doctors and staff of Terrebonne General Medical Center, Chauvin Funeral Home and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Keeping your family in my prayers as they deal with grieving. I know what is it like to lose your mom; however, she is always near by being in your thoughts and memories. She will be missed by all how loved her. My deepest sympathy goes your family.
