Louis Rousse Jr. Obituary

Louis "Pokey" Rousse Jr., 67, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Cut Off, died Nov. 23, 2017.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 30, at Sacred Heart Church from 10 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial in the Church Cemetery.

Pokey is survived by his wife, Janice Cheramie Rousse; daughters, Brandy R. Lee (Chris), Jamie R. Danos (Jared), and Amy R. Pierce (Kyle); grandchildren, Kobi and Caz Pitre, Brittney Hubbell, Hunter Crochet, Jake Danos, Jude, Jeron, Joseph, Joshua, Justin, Jacob, Marcella, John, Joachim and Gianna Pierce; great-grandchildren, Preston, Carter, and Karis Hubbell, Noelle Pitre; and sister, Deanie Martin.

Pokey was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Sr. and Shirley Sanamo Rousse; grandchild, Jordan John Pierce; and brother, Dennis Rousse.

A special thank you to Terrebonne General Medical Center and Dr. Russell Henry for their care.
