Mary Chiasson Obituary
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by sister, Martha Jane Chiasson Plaisance; brother, Eddie A. Chiasson; nephews, Mark D. Plaisance, James Plaisance, Jamie Chiasson, and George "Buddy" Chiasson; nieces, Tina Plaisance Montz, Roslyn Chiasson Dempster, and Mary Beth "Beth" Chauvin; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Whitney Chiasson and Enith Robichaux Chiasson; aunt, Edith Robichaux; brother, George Chiasson; infant brother, Roy Chiasson; infant sisters, Agnes and Mary Chiasson; and brother-in-law, Ecton J. Plaisance Jr.
She was a member of Holy Savior Catholic Church until her residence at Audubon Nursing Home in Thibodaux. She was retired from Raceland Bank & Trust Company, having worked there for more than 32 years at the Lockport central processing and branch locations. She enjoyed reading.
The family would like to thank her caretakers at Audubon Nursing Home and the nursing staff and doctors at Thibodaux Regional Medical Health for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary Ann Chiasson's name to Holy Savior Catholic School where she graduated in 1953.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
