Rhea Pitre Ledet Obituary

Rhea Pitre Ledet passed away peacefully on Feb. 21, 2017, at the age of 91 years. She was a native of Thibodaux and a longtime resident of Metairie, La.

Loving mother of Sharon Ledet Ceruti (Ronald) and Kimber E. Ledet Jr. (Judy Martin). Grandmother of Dr. Ronald Ceruti Jr. (Rachel), Kristin Ceruti (Rick Massarini), Lindsey Ledet Mothershead (William), Lori M. Bernard (Stan) and Todd Martin (Dawn). Great-grandmother of Sofia Ceruti. Sister of George L. Pitre Jr. (Jackie) and the late Barbara "Bobbie" Stanton. Daughter of the late George L. and Hortense Pitre. Also survived by several nieces and a nephew.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the administrators and caregivers of St. Luke's Living Center for their care and compassion shown to Rhea and her family in their time of need.

In accordance with her wishes that were inspired by her grandson Ronald, she donated her body to L.S.U. Medical School for study and research.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 La. 23 in Belle Chasse. Private interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, La.

Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
