Whitney Edmonds Jr. Obituary
Visiting will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 22, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home, 1204 Cleveland St., Thibodaux, and from 9 a.m. to religious services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Burial in Church cemetery.
Whitney is survived by his wife, Clara Edmonds; sons, Whitney Edmonds III, Nathaniel Edmonds (Deborah), and Rev. Norman Edmonds Sr. (Jeanie); daughters, Ruby Short (Lynward), Stephanie Edmonds and Claudette Griffin (Gregory); brother, Raymond Edmond; sister, Louise Walker; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Whitney Edmonds Sr.; daughter, Carolyn Knight; and four siblings.
Arrangements by Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux, LA.
