Ernestine, Alex Jr., Sherry, Michael, and the Gallardo family, please know that my prayers are with you during this very difficult time. I would like to express my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences. I met Alex when I first arrived in Houston in 1965. He was joy to work with at Greyhound. We became friends and then neighbors, and our friendship lasted over the years. We played softball together even though he was some 20 years my senior. He will always be an inspiration to me with his outlook on life. He was never too busy or tired to help me with whatever I came to bother him with. We have lost a great man, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather. I have lost a true friend and I will miss him dearly. I will never be able to express my gratitude for the opportunity to know such a wonderful person as Alex.

To all the family and to also my tia Mary Grace all the Reyes family are deeply sadden for the loss of your brother. All of the Reyes family are with you in prayer. you and my cousins were so helpful when our brother left this world that somehow it was the real meaning of family that got us through that difficult time. and we all thank you

I was saddened to hear of Alex's passing. He was a good friend and respected co-worker.Bonnie and I have very happy memories of Alex on the job and away from the job.

Alex taught me so many things about life, family and how to be a good person. He looked out for me when I first started out at Greyhound and both he and Ernistine took me in as family. He taught me so many things about the bus industry, what it takes to be a good husband and father and it's these things that I used to start my own family and to live a good honest life. I remember doing many things with the Gallardo family, visiting them almost daily. I was part of that family for many years, watching little Michael grow up and seeing Alex Jr. become the professional person that hs is today. I have many fond memories of all of this and the Gallardo family will always be in my prayers. I have lost a father, and a dear, dear friend.

My heart goes out to the Gallardo family at this time and in the days ahead.Had some good times with Alex during our association with the Old Timers Club.Even though Alex has gone to better place he will not be forgotten.
