Thank you Daddy for all your love, guidance, support and great faith. Through you and Mom we learned the true meaning of love. Love is to always take care of others as well as ourselves. Love is to give because we will always receive. Love is to KNOW that God loves us always. We will be strong, and take good care of Mama just like you asked. Your gentle transfer from our arms into our Lord's arms will be with me always.

My brothers and sisters joke with me about how much time I used to spend kneeling in the corner being punished. They say that I was kneeling in the corner so often that I named some of the dots on the wall. Well, it’s true; I did name some of the dots. As I told my Dad, it was all those times kneeling in the corner, threats from him to get his belt and sometimes actually getting his belt that made me who I am today. Dad, you taught me discipline. Not only did you teach me discipline, you made me believe in it. You made me believe in standing up for what is right, standing against what is wrong and standing for those who couldn’t stand up for themselves. You instilled that in me so deeply, that it made me want to pursue a career doing just that. You placed that goal in me; thank you Lord for giving me the time to make sure my father knew this. After inspiring me Dad, you provided me with the wonderful gift of a Catholic education that helped me achieve my goals. You gave me everything I needed in life and everything I needed to provide for my family. Twenty two years ago when I began applying for a position as a police officer, one question was asked at every single interview, WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A POLICE OFICER?” At the time I never knew exactly how to answer that question. Today, I know exactly why I wanted then and why I’ll continue to want to stand up for discipline and justice.
My favorite word to describe my Dad is. . . INTEGRITY!
THANK YOU DAD FOR EVERYTHING, I LOVE YOU!
I am Honored to be his son.

Thanks dad for giving me life and then for making it so wonderful. I promise to help others as you have. You taught me so much and I will try to pass that on.
I love and miss you.

I still remember your dad being one of our biggest fans in Resurrection CYO, and he would always tell us he was proud of us,no matter if we won or lost. May God bless you and your family at this time and in the days to come. I know he is probbly adopting all the youngsters in heaven right now and teaching them how to be good christians.

Mr. Torres, I lived across the street from you for nearly 30 years. In that time I always felt that we were more than just neighbors. I have many childhood memories such as when you would load up all the kids in your work truck and take us to the horse lot to ride, when you use to help us fix our bikes and many more. Thanks for the many memories and all the things I have learned from you. I am grateful that my kids were able to know you. Say Hi to my Dad for me.

I love you Dad and I promise to "be strong" today, tomorrow and always until I see you and my Casey again!
