Anna Phillips Obituary

ANNA BEATRICE "BEA" PHILLIPS (FAY), born on January 29, 1922 in Houston, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 25 after extended illnesses. She spent most of her childhood in Paducah, Kentucky and Jonesboro, Arkansas and was a long-term resident of El Lago, Texas where she raised her family. Bea was a graduate of LSU and served in the Women's Air Corps in World War II traveling extensively in Europe and North Africa. She devoted her professional career to the Girl Scouts of America and later was employed by Computer Sciences Corporation where she retired in 1988. As a devoted mother and active participant in the El Lago community, she will be deeply missed. Bea is survived by her children and their spouses, Roberta and Dennis Marple of Montgomery, Texas and Bob and Carol Fay of Asheville, North Carolina. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, February 27 at the Deer Park Funeral Home (281-476-4693). For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Girl Scouts of America or VITAS Hospice.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's death. She was a dear sweet lady who always did kind things for other people. She was a good friend to my mom. I know you will miss her dearly.
