Aubrey lived a true-life Horatio Alger story. He worked forty years at the Union Pacific railroad and ran the Monroe Hog Farm until the day of his passing. He served the Lord as a deacon of First Baptist Church of Porter. He loved his Houston sports teams and would always watch them any chance he got. His life was lived with an ethos of deep faith, hard work, and dedication to family. He had an egalitarian belief system, and he treated all men and women with respect. Through his acceptance of Christ and dedication to the Lord, multitudes of family and friends have peace in knowing that he is smiling in heaven.
He had a celebration of life at First Baptist Church of Porter and was laid to rest at White Oak Cemetery in Porter Texas on May 11, 2021.
