Carol, My mother called me to tell me about your mother. I am very sorry to hear this news. I have thought about the many times I spent the night at your house when we were children and how welcomed I always felt. We spent hours making scrapbooks on Sam Houston and watching Dark Shadows on tv. We learned about make up from Jane and Jimmy just put up with us. As I prayed for your family this morning, I also expressed my thanks and gratitude to God for having your family in my life.
Love, Donna Jeanes Fagala

To the Family and Friends:
Augusta (Gusta, I always called her) has always been a favorite relative of mine, because she was always someone I looked up to and admired because of here loving and caring spirit. She and Shadie (my mother) were an ant/nice relationship, but more that that they were great friends. Mama use to talk about Augusta coming over the our house (Walnut St) after school rather than making the long trip out to Uncle Nick’s, because that was so far out in the country (3miles). Later in life, Mama and Augusta made a big trip together…to Florida. Mama had a scrap book just about the trip. She has a postcard for every Motel that they stayed and great detail about every day (they are probably laughing about the trip right now.)
We will all miss her kind sprit,
Hugh Taylor

Augusta was such a wonderful lady and a good, good friend. We will always be grateful for the years that we have known and loved her.
