To my cousin "Kidd", though the many years that we all shared together they seem to go so fast. I lost two people this past year in my life that I loved alot, you and my sister. Both of you were very dear to me and I will miss you so much. You were the best 1st cousin a girl could ask for inspite of our age differences. That doesn't matter now or then you will always be loved by the entire Johnson family. I'm sorry we were not there for you as much, but we never, ever forgot about you. We know you would have been there for us in our time of tragedy and been very glad to see you. I only hate that this is what brings our family together. To the family members of my dear cousin if we never see each other again I'll never forget about you all and love you very much and more, as though my cousin and your daddy were still with us. Don't forget about me and I'll be sure not to forget about you guys where ever you are. Be strong and live a happy and joyous life.

From your cousin,

Carolyn Johnson & Family(Marshall)

Dear Uncle Kidd:

I will never forget the influence you made on the Johnson Family. You were the exciting, interesting and dynamic Uncle. I'll never forget your visits to our house when I was a young girl growing up. We never knew what to expect when you came around. However, we always knew your visits would be entertaining to our young minds. As an Adult, I remember you never missed an occasion. You always called me on Mother's Day. Those calls established a new found love and respect for you from me. I never truly realized how important family was to you until I grew up and started my own little family. You showed such concern for DJ and for Divine. You touched D J's life. He prayed for you so much when you were ill and mourned deeply for you when you passed on to sleep. We watched too the close relationship you had with your last born child Tarlisha. Thru this observation, I saw you in a different softer light. I will always cherish the memories I have of you, both as a young child and as a young woman. You truly were a blessing to the Johnson Family and will be greatly missed. We look forward to that Great Resurrection in Christ Jesus when we will see you again.

Missing you and Cherishing the memories,

"Coleena"

I miss you and love you,

TO Uncle Kid. The only uncle I had that made me laugh even when I was sad. You told the funniest stories and I was always excited when you came to town. I didn't get a chance to talk to much in these past years but I treasure the memories I had for you. I love you UNCLE KID! I pray to God that I will see you in heaven again one day. Sorry I didn't make your funeral but I promise I will never forget you.

To MY Uncle (Uncle Kid), I really appreciated your sincere concern about me and my brothers (Bruche' & Nathan) staying out of trouble. I love the fact of how you were yet still showing much love for all your children, especially for Talisha in your elder years. I'll never forget our last conversation when you were in the hospital back in November of 2000. I love you and will truly miss you, your smile and your old stories about everything in the book. Your co-workers said it right when they called you Big Wheel (B.W.) You are our Big Wheel also. Aunt Patsy, Keisha, Elke, Wise & Talisha please remember "Weeping only endures for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." I love you all. I truly believe you'll make it in the Pearly Gates of Heaven. Uncle Kid you will ALWAYS be in my thoughts.

Love,

Your Nephew,

Dyron

Uncle Kidd was a good Uncle and very sweet and caring. He has always kept in touch with me and Sonya (my sister). I remember when he came out to visit, I have just separated from my husband. It was late at night and I was sitting at my Mother's house and he was sitting with me. He said some encouraging words that I'll never forget. We will always love Uncle Kidd.
