My sympathies to the family. I was a student at Killough Middle School during the school´s first and second years as a 7th and 8th grader in 1976-1978.
The school was still under construction, so we had only a partial student population. Mrs. Murdock and the teachers were like parents to all of us.
I remember her ever present smile and when needed, stern guidance to set us straight. We were very fortunate to have been at Killough MS during that time.
Rest in Peace Mrs. Murdock.

Mrs. Murdock was my homeroom teacher at Hamilton Jr High, 1966-1969. She was the perfect teacher—kind, caring, fun, thoughtful while also firm, inspiring & encouraging. I have very happy memories of her. My thoughts & prayers are with her family.

When I was a new English teacher at Hamilton Jr. High in January, 1968 I remember Betty Murdock so fondly. She was such a role model and so helpful for someone like me, fresh out of college. I'm so pleased to read all the wonderful comments about her as it brings back many wonderful memories.

Mrs Betty was my homeroom and English teacher at Hamilton Jr High from 1967 to 1969. We all loved her and still have that group picture of our homeroom on the school steps. I had the wonderful opportunity to again meet up with her when studying prenursing at Sam Houston State University where she was pursuing her Masters degree. We would meet at the student center for coffee and sodas. She was truly a wonderful educator, friend and trailblazer. Rest in peace Mrs Murdock.

Mrs. Murdock was my 9th grade, 3rd period English . She was always so kind, and yet she got her points across. She had to be my most favorite teacher at Hamilton Jr. High. I know she will be missed.
