May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Brooks walked across to my place and welcomed me and my partner, Armando when we first moved in across from him. I enjoyed our visits and such a brilliant man. He will be missed.

Sgt. John Swaim
Houston Police Department

I worked security at Great Southern Bank for many years and knew Brooks from those years. I still remember him "gliding" across the bank lobby and adjusting his tie. He always supported the Police and for that I´am grateful. In later years, I would see him jogging in Memorial Park and say Hi as we passed. If I could describe Brooks in one word, it would be simply "cool". Rest in peace Brooks and we all should remember that he made Houston a better place!

Brooks was a wonderful friend of my Mother. We grew up down the street from them and my brother used to be good friends with his son Brooks. There are many memories and he will be greatly missed.
