Burlene Bean Obituary

BURLENE BEAN, 84, died Saturday December 8, 2001. Mrs. Bean is preceded in death by her husband Ivy in 1971. They lived in and raised their family in Garden Oaks. Burlene was a charter member of West 14th Avenue Baptist Church in The Heights where she was a guiding light for many. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Burlene is survived by her sons: Lynn Bean and wife Linda of The Woodlands, Kenneth Bean and wife Linda of Houston, three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; brothers: James Taylor and Neal Taylor; sisters: Tommie Baumann and Leota Brockman. Also several nieces, nephews and a host of loving lifelong friends. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM Monday, December 10, 2001, at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. A comforting word to all who knew her would be, "Burlene was truly a Christian."
