Catherine Trombatore Obituary

Catherine Ciulla Trombatore passed away on July 6, 2013. She was a devout Catholic and member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart, Maria del Balzo, and the Assumption Catholic Church Altar Society. Catherine was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, especially on Pasta Sundays. She enjoyed her Italian heritage by being a long-time volunteer of the annual Italian Festival and enjoyed baking Italian cookies for the St. Joseph Altar Society and for the Italian Festival every year. Catherine enjoyed the annual tradition of shopping with her girls the day after Thanksgiving, loved camping each year at Garner State Park with her family and long-time friends, enjoyed socials and playing cards at the Sacred Heart Club and loved to dance. She had a beautiful smile that would light up the room and was a friend to everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Angeline Ciulla and son, Michael Trombatore. Catherine is survived by husband of 66 years, Frank Trombatore; son, Ben Trombatore and wife Mary; daughters, Linda Trombatore, Tricia Limon and husband Pete, Janet Piazza; grandchildren, Trichelle Newman and husband Joseph, Anthony Limon and wife Kristy, Mark Loerch, Emily Piazza; great-granddaughter, Ella Newman; sister, Josephine Maduzia and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, Houston, Texas with rite of committal to follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
