I enjoyed looking at Good Morning Houston on KTRK , channel 13 in the early mornings,. Cheryl Keck was a great anchor!! I loved seeing her reporting on the news. The entire group were fun and enjoyed their job. I was sad to learn of her death, she was a beautiful lady. I listened to her when she would call in from home LIVE, to talk to her group. To her family, God bless you all. God is Good and Kind Every Day.

I lived in Houston prior to moving to Dallas. I lived in Dallas for a short period of time, and moved back to Houston and I noticed that I had not seen cheryle Keck on the news and I thought she may have moved to another city, or may have taken time off from work for a while. Last month I was listening to the news and I heard that she was no longer with us. I will miss seeing her and listening to her from the inter most part of my heart. She has a special light that most people saw within her, well I know I did. A positive influence of life, that was Cherlye keck.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Cheryle Keck was my best friend. From the time we met in 1989 covering a Martin Luther King rally, we became fast friends.
We talked to each other constantly on the telephone; she always made me laugh with her quick wit and humor.
Over the years we shared stories about our jobs at the various T.V. stations where we worked.
I was with Cheryle at the NABJ convention when she applied for her former anchoring job at KTRK.
I was also blessed to have her as a bridesmaid in my wedding in 2000.
Cheryle, I will miss you. But I'm comforted to know you are now safely in God's hands.

I am a meteorologist who worked with Cheryle up here in Grand Rapids, Michigan (also channel 13) in the late 80's/early 90's. She was a bright, happy lady who was a pleasure to work with. My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends. As Christians we know she is in a better place. So many people come and go in the TV business. You work here for two years...there for two years, and move again. I am grateful for the sunshine she brought to Grand Rapids both on and off the air.

To the family and friends of Cheryle Denise Keck-Griffin it was an honor to see such a pleasant and gifted young anchor woman giving to all that saw her on the news and in the community. She is and was an example that my daughter Faith Dene' Deggins (broadcast jouralism senior of UH) is proud to say inspired her most definitely in the business. Although Cheryle is absent from the earth she is present with the Lord. She was used by God with her presence in every way while she was here and will always be in our hearts, minds, and spirits. The legacy of Cheryle Denise Keck-Griffin will live on. Cheryle is gone but not forgotten. Peace be with you all forever. May God Bless

As a viewer, you seem to "get to know" your morning news casters. Cheryl was a part of our family for many-a-morning.

I didn't know Cheryle personally but had watched her on TV from time to time and I had even begun to miss her in the mornings... how little did I know that she was ill and I never could have imagined that her illness would have gone to that extent because her appearance that displayed a picture of health.
