David Cyrus Obituary

DAVID M CYRUS, 54, died Sunday, August 19, 2007. If a sense of humor, the support of good friends and the love of family helps you live a long life, then David lived a very, very long time. He was an honorable and caring soul with a big heart and boisterous laugh. You could always count on David to lend his hand when someone needed help, never asking for anything in return. He relished sharing time with his family, good friends, and especially enjoyed being part of the barbeque cook-off team. He was a loving and loyal friend. David is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Evelyn Cyrus. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Susan, his Sister Terry Cyrus, Brother Evan Beck, Mother-in-Law Marjorie Swiss, Brothers and Sisters-in-Law; Steven and Marguerite Schalit, Nathan Davis and Shari Meyer, nieces Ellie Davis, Laura Howard, and Traci Schalit, Nephew Arron Eaves, many cousins and friends. We will miss him so very much. A private memorial service is being held at his home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation be made, in David's name, to the American Heart Association.

There aren't too many people that have the same sense of humor as I do, but David did. I was Harpo to his Groucho, Laurel to his Hardy. The cook offs, as well as the world, will not be same. David will be deeply missed. Susan, you're in our prayers.

Susan, my heart and prayers are with you. I will miss David more than I can say. He was and always will be a loved and cherished friend. Our team will will never be the same. His humor, his caring, and his friendship were one of the things I looked forward to the most at cook-offs. What wonderful memories he has given us all.
Love,
Barb
