David McCollam Obituary

DAVID NEWTON McCOLLAM, III, a loving husband, father, son and brother passed away on March 11, 2005 after a brief illness. David was 51 years old. He was born to David N. and Ann L. McCollam on December 13, 1953 in Greenville, Mississippi. He was raised in Avon, Ohio and graduated from Avon High School in 1972. He moved with his family to Kansas City in 1973 where he lived until 1981 and then moved to the Houston area. David is survived by his wife, Melissa Fernanda McCollam; daughters, Jacqueline Renee' McCollam and Dana Jeanne McCollam; son, Wesley David McCollam; step-daughter, Alyssa Fernanda Chrisope; parents, David and Ann McCollam; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Angela Corona; brothers, Darrell C. McCollam and his wife Lee and Daniel C. McCollam and his fiance Sharon; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends beginning at 10AM until the 11AM funeral service on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 10135 West Road, Houston, TX 77064. A private family burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Online tributes to the family at www.cyfairfunerals.com.

My dad was a wonderful man and touched many hearts of many people in his life. He always had a way of making people laugh.
