Jeffrey Mccollam Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
The family of JEFFREY SCOTT MCCOLLAM is profoundly saddened to announce his passing on August 16, 2025, quietly and unexpectedly at his home in Arlington. He was 58 years old.
Scott was the son of William A. McCollam (Georgia) and Anne M. McCormack who predeceased him. Members of his family who grieve and remember him include his sister, Jennifer M. Ayoub (Dan) and his brother, David A. McCollam (Alice) and much-loved nieces Rebecca Ayoub and Sara Ayoub and nephews Sam McCollam and Jacob McCollam.
Scott graduated West Springfield High School in Springfield, VA in 1985 and attended East Carolina University and Virginia Commonwealth University. His love of sports began in his childhood and grew as he played soccer throughout his youth and into his early adulthood. He was an avid fan of the local sports teams and was often seen supporting the Terrapins, Capitals, Nationals and Commanders. Scott was a life member of the Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire Department in Manassas, VA where he was a Lead Firefighter and EMT. His passion for cooking came alive at family gatherings, where the kitchen or grill became his stage. Surrounded by laughter and the people he loved, he found joy in sharing his barbecuing skills and bringing everyone together during special moments.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 12:00-3:00pm at International Country Club, 13200 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy, Fairfax, VA 22033.
