Edward Zakrzewski Obituary

EDWARD JAMES "ZAK" ZAKRZEWSKI, age 84 of Sugar Land, died Mon. Nov. 21, 2005. He was born Sept. 19, 1921 in Hamtramck, MI, the son of the late Stephan and Stefania Kurkowski Zakrzewski. He was a student at St. Florian's School, and trained as a Master Bricklayer/Stone Mason early in life. He married Armandina Gubbiotti on June 11, 1955 in Detroit MI. They moved to Sugar Land, TX in 1979. He was a 40-year member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers, Local 1 of Michigan, a 27-year member of Knights of Columbus, St. Basil Council 4204 and a member of St. Laurence Catholic Parish. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Armandina of Sugar Land; devoted daughters, Marymargaret and Kathleen Ann of Sugar Land; his dear sister-in-law, Michelina (Mickey) Iacovo Morgan of Highlands Ranch, CO; nephews, Steven L. Morgan and wife, Tara, and David V. Morgan of Highlands Ranch, CO; nieces Linda Zakrzewski of Warren MI, and Linda K. Morgan Techeniten and husband, Mark, of Highlands Ranch CO; his six great-nieces and great-nephews; plus, his faithful dog, Lucky. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at St. Laurence Catholic Parish, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd, Sugar Land, TX., Sugar Land, TX. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter, 2909 W. Holcombe, Houston, TX 77025 or Citizens for Animal Protection, 11925 Katy Freeway, Houston TX 77079.
