Ellis Allen Obituary

ELLIS STANLEY ALLEN passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the age of 77. He was born in Elida, New Mexico on Christmas Day, 1926 to the late Ellis Oscar and Hattie Mae Ewing Allen. Mr. Allen was a property tax consultant, a founding member of T.A.P.T.P., and a member of the American Legion. One son, Michael, and brother in-law Ted Kay preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving wife Mildred (Donihoo) Allen; daughters, Kathryn Wells, Linda Butterfield and husband Johnny, Susan Averre and husband Don; son, James Ellis; step-son, Chris Weber; five grandchildren; sisters, Murl Kay, Dorothy Bertram and husband Frederick, Ann Foster and husband David, as well as many other friends and relatives. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday March 28, at Pat H. Foley & Co.. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday at Pat H. Foley & Co., with Rev. David Barclay officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Columbia Cemetery In West Columbia.
