Eric Davis Obituary

Eric Reid Davis
1960-2021
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Davis and former resident of Houston. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma October 26, 1960. He passed due to Metatastic Melanoma April 20, 2021 in Petaluma, California surrounded by his family.
A graduate of Westchester High School, he then enrolled in Texas State Technical College earning certification in Residential Construction, and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Texas.
He did residential home building in Dallas, then moved to Chicago to work on Chicago Board of Trade, then moved to Petaluma, California and worked Commercial Construction. Eventually his interest in vintage motorcycles and automobiles led to his full time occupation.
Eric led his life according to his belief that people were to talk to and not about.
He is survived by his parents Richard and Shirley Davis, two sisters, Dee Ann Nowell and husband Jerry of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Sheryl Davis of Houston. Also a niece Kendall Nowell.
Family grateful to the Hospice of Petaluma.

Eric and I went to high school together in Houston and roomed together at UT as freshman. Super nice guy with a wonderful family. His parents owned a fabulous lake house on Lake Conroe. It seemed like we spent every Fourth of July weekend with his family having a blast. Eric with his friends and his sisters with theirs. There must have been 20 people every year. Those were the days. Class act all the way.

Eric and I were roommates at “The Cabin” in Austin ‘85 to ‘86, many great memories of Eric, a quiet, very tall person! Talked about hunting stories in Louisiana. He’ll be greatly missed, RIP brutha

I had met Eric when he rented the house Bob Rollins owned. And as Bob had many motorcycles and parts I came to know him and we tag the name Big Guy on him. Was a pleasure knowing him and was asked to be a conservator with me to care for Bob - didn’t work out but he was always there to help out with care until Bob passed. Eric was always polite very knowledgeable on many things his “ I understand “ and Yes or No Sir got me saying it now. Always will be in our hearts and many memories. Thoughts and prayers to Rich / Shirley and family. God Bless Eric Davis. Rest In Peace The Big Guy. Bruce / Marie Petschke

Eric had a great attitude about life and people. He loved taking on challenges and adventures. We went on many adventures together that always produced great stories. He had as big a personality as his massive height and size. I learned a lot from Eric. His spirit on this earth will be sorely missed.
