Mildred Sturgill Obituary

Mildred B. Sturgill, 79, died Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at 3:35 p.m. at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Emory Sturgill. Born December 14, 1923 in Pound, Va., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Narvesta (Hollyfield) Mullins. She had been a life long resident of White Hall, Md., relocating to Stewartstown in 2000. She was a member of White Hall Church of God. She is survived by four daughters, Nancy L. Surratt and Scarlett E. Sturgill, both of Stewartstown, Ada L. Huth of Baltimore, Md., and Lois J. Williams of Columbia, Md.; three sons, Larry D. Sturgill of Parkton, Md., E. Wayne Sturgill of White Hall, Md. and C. Douglas Sturgill of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward 'Buddy' Mullins of Pound, Va.; and three sisters, Loretta Belcher of Pound, Va., Elois 'Dot' Pugh of Crossville, Tenn. and Estelle Vanover of Fairfield, Calif. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Price. Viewing(s) from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday and 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, December 30th at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 Second St., New Freedom. The service will be 2 p.m., Monday, at the Mortuary with Rev. Ray Powers, White Hall Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Wiseburg Cemetery, White Hall, Md.
