Eugene L. Chiappetta
04/17/1940 - 10/22/2024
Eugene was born to Joseph Chiappetta and Joan Pambianco in Jamestown, NY.
He received his B.S. in Biology at Allegheny College and M.S. in General Science and Ph.D. in Science Education at Syracuse University. He enjoyed a long career at the University of Houston as a science teacher educator at the College of Education. In addition, he also worked with the College of Engineering on grants with an education component. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 55 years; and son, Robert (Ashley). The family will have a private service. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be given to the Joan C. Chiappetta Scholarship for Practical Nursing at Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, 418 Spring Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.

Dr Chiappetta was a wonderful teacher. He inspired me to be a better teacher and was a great mentor. He will be greatly missed. My prayers of comfort and peace as you grieve the loss of your loved one. My condolences. God bless. Sandi Lee

Eugene introduced me to my husband, Francis Chiappetta in 1961, and I am still in love with Fran!. Fran passed away 1/10/24 and I will love him until the Day I die and even after that! Thank you Eugene!!
