George Smee Obituary

GEORGE LARRY SMEE passed away after a brief illness on November 13, 2001 at the age of 48 years. He was born on October 9, 1953 in Charleston, West Virginia. He is survived by his mother and father George H. and Martha R. Smee of South Charleston, W.V.; his wife of 22 years, Patty Smee of Houston; and his son, Aaron Smee of Houston. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten by the many family members and friends who will always love him. Larry had accomplished many things in his life to be very proud of such as earning his Eagle Scout honors as a teenager and his degree in marketing from the University of Texas. Mr. Smee had spent 16 years as a faithful employee of the Exxon Corporation. He loved to work in his garden and he especially enjoyed being with his family. Larry was also known to be an excellent cook. He brought joy to his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws both in Texas and West Virginia. Funeral services will be held at Ten o'clock in the morning on Saturday, November 17, 2001 in the chapel of Heritage Presbyterian Church, 7934 Highway 6 North, Houston, Texas 77095 (281) 463-7701, with Pastor Elliott Scott officiating. Graveside services and committal are to follow the funeral service on Saturday at 3:30 P.M. at Austin Memorial Park in Austin, Texas.
