Gerald Bloecher Obituary

GERALD LEE BLOECHER, beloved husband, father, son and uncle, passed away and joined his daughter, Megan Renee Bloecher (Daddy Honey) and son Randall Bloecher in Heaven on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Columbus Community Hospital, Columbus, Texas. Gerald was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas on July 29, 1933. He served in the United States Navy from 1948 until 1951, was a Korean war veteran and a members of the VFW Post 8790 of Spring Branch, Texas and was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Gerald and his wife, Sharon, were married on March 30, 1985 and moved to Columbus in October 1986. Gerald is survived by his wife, Sharon Bloecher and his mother, Alma Bloecher, both of Columbus, his son, Steaphen Bloecher and daughter-in-law Laurie Bloecher of Magnolia, Texas, grandson, Matthew Bloecher, who is in the United States Marine Corp and granddaughters Steaphanie and Sarah Bloecher, as well as many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son Randall Bloecher, daughter Megan Bloecher, father Carl Arthur Bloecher of Columbus and sister, Leah Ray Fraysur of Houston. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, at Henneke Funeral Home at 1515 Montezuma St., Columbus, Texas with the Rev. Jeffrey Marsh of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus. Contributions can be made to Megan Bloecher Memorial Fund or Christopher Kilpatrick Scholarship Fund c/o P. O.
